How do I get ETH and USDC on Arbitrum Nova?
How do I get ETH and USDC on Arbitrum Nova?

How to bridge and swap on our most popular chain for low fee events.

Updated over a week ago

The cheapest and fastest chain that Blocklive uses for event ticketing - Arbitrum Nova - has limited options to move funds on the network and swap, but is performant for ticketing. For those who like to run their programming onchain themselves, we've compiled a quick guide to help you get spun up.

Bridge to Arbitrum Nova

Popular exchanges like Binance do not allow for direct withdrawals of ETH to Arbitrum Nova, so your best bet will be to bridge the funds from the Ethereum mainnet.

Publishing an event onchain on Arbitrum Nova costs about ~$0.20 (as of writing). Your bridging costs are likely to be the largest expenditure here by far to use the chain, so bridge enough to cover all your event expenses.

Official Bridge

There is a bridge from mainnet maintained by the Offchain Labs team (the builders of the Arbitrum), which is reliable. The native bridge only supports ETH, so you'll need to swap to USDC after your funds after your funds have crossed the bridge if you'd like to use it for payments.

Swapping to USDC

In general there are limited number DEX's with liquidity on Arbitrum Nova, so if you want to swap your Arbitrum Nova ETH to Arbitrum Nova USDC to pay or mint directly onchain, you'll need to use a swap platform with enough depth. We will periodically maintain these while we continue to support Arbitrum Nova.

SushiSwap

SushiSwap is a popular DEX with broad support across chains.

ArbSwap

ArbSwap is an Arbitrum specific swapping platform that supports Nova.
