How to bridge to Polygon Proof of Stake (PoS) chain.

Updated over a week ago

On chain transactions on Polygon PoS may require two tokens with sufficient balance in your wallet to process 1) gas in the native currency of the blockchain (Polygon MATIC) and 2) your payment currency, if purchasing a ticket onchain.

Note: For cost efficiency Blocklive supports Polygon Proof of Stake, but not Polygon zkEVM.

Send it directly from your exchange

Some of the world's most popular exchanges support directly sending crypto on Ethereum side chains and L2s. If you have a Binance account, this may be the fastest, most cost efficient route.

Official bridge

Polygon's portal supports bridging from Ethereum to both it's POS chain and zkEVM. Blocklive currently only supports Polygon PoS. Remember to bridge MATIC (the gas token of Polygon PoS), rather than ETH.

Buy with a credit card

Don't have an account with a centralized exchange and don't have crypto on any EVM chains? Your quickest route to Polygon is probably by credit card. MetaMask provides quotes across a number of popular fiat onramp providers.

Use a 3rd party bridging protocol

DEX aggregators like Jumper can help you find the best route across chains. Bridging protocols can be unreliable and have resulted in severe loss of funds, so do your own research.
